WANTS.

If the Community now asks for more help and more money, and if the Report itself seems more like a call on the future than a record of the past, it is because the children are the future. They do not stand still, and the Community must keep pace with them. Like the children, it must cry: “More again, more again!”

In addition to subscriptions and donations the following things are much needed:

15 pairs of. Sandals (4/6 a pair: to be obtained from Messrs. Hall & Son, 60, Bishopsgate, E.C.1.

Typewriter (Remington). (A factory remade machine is obtainable for about £6. Particulars from the Secretary).

Black Globe-—-Countries in White. (Supplied by Philip & Son, Victoria Road, Willesden Junction}.

Large Box (tin-lined if possible) for storing blankets.

Hair Ribbons. Colours: Emerald green, orange, cerise. About 1 1/2 ins. wide.

Two dozen Tooth Brushes.

Two dozen Aluminium Combs.

Two dozen Brown Leather Tunic Belts.

Soap: Toilet, small cakes.

Soap: Household.

Bluebell Polish.

Gas Mantles.

Plain Biscuits in tins.

Cod-Liver Oil and Malt.

Bandages.

Lint.

Cotton Wool.

Scissors.

Coloured Pencil Chalks (10d. a box, from Shoolbred’s or Army & Navy Stores.

Two pairs of Scales.

Children’s Old Clothes (ages 3—8 years).

Toys (simple puzzles, wooden horse, carts, unbreakable dolls, etc.).

Mugs (1d. each).

Tubes of Paint (1d. each).
