Some of you may have seen the article in The Times on Friday about the Sea House, 13 Sycamore Gardens, Dymchurch. There was a garbled reference to Mike Clover and an erroneous suggestion that he married Marion Kidd. His wife was Rosemary Clover (formerly Nash). Marion married Damien McLellan, whose group at the Sea House moved in July 1969 to Reinden Wood House, Hawkinge (now demolished). Marion died suddenly in April 1976.

After Clover Trust ceased operations, it was arranged in 1992 that Caldecott would have the properties - The Paddocks (now Caldecott House) and the Sea House - formally transferred in 1993. The Paddocks was soon used for training staff and then for Caldecott College. In about September 1996 Caldecott sold off the Sea House as surplus to its requirements.

I do not know, but someone may tell me, whether Caldecott made any use of the Sea House in the period 1993 to 1995 perhaps for holidays. I vaguely recall that for a while Caldecott had a holiday home at Hastings, doubtless sold off to raise funds.
