August 1947 - Caldecott moved from Hyde House, Dorset to Mersham-le-Hatch, Kent.

1956 - Mike Clover started Caldecott outpost at the Paddocks, Smeeth (family group).

1958 - First part of Colt House built for oldest boys' playroom with Simon Rodway at Hatch.

Easter 1961 - Previously both girls and boys of Senior Study (oldest juniors) shared Drawing Room at Hatch (with balcony overlooking Deer Park) as playroom. Boys hived off to bottom of East Wing (dormitories in West Wing).

August 1962 - Second part of Colt House built to sleep 12 oldest boys. Lower ground floor of West Wing altered for other boys. Previously the WW Junior-Senior boys of Agnes Travers had a large playroom (actually in the main block - below the Library), but this became playroom for Senior Study boys.

August 1965 - James King's family group moved from the Paddocks to Lacton Hall, Willesborough. Senior Study girls left Hatch Drawing Room, replaced there by Junior-Senior girls group of Marion Kidd from the floor above it.

Easter 1969 - Small East Wing office extended and Drawing Room became staff room, Junior-Senior girls moved to floor above.

September 1970 - Family groups at Hatch - A: Top Floor (eventually Oaklea), B: West Wing, C: Lakeview, D: overlooking Hatch lawns (eventually called Mayfield), slower transition for Nursery (Garden House) and no change for Colt House until Autumn 1980 (two girls joined oldest boys).

August 1983 - Older adolescents group left Colt House, exchanging with Lacton Hall family group (which became Hornbeam).

1985 - Lacton House (now Pine Lodge) built for new group of children, in part of the grounds of Lacton Hall.

Late 1992 - The Paddocks (Caldecott House now) taken over by Caldecott, formerly used for Clover Trust.

1996-2002 - Phased moves from Hatch to new units at Smeeth - Westhaven (now Summer House), Oaklea, Garden House, Hornbeam) - with Caldecott House, also elsewhere.
