
Committee. They shall not be elected annually, but shall hold office until their resignations. They shall be appointed by the present Council and, if one of the Hon. Directors shall cease to hold office, the remaining Director shall nominate her successor subject to the approval of the Council.
7._The Executive Committee :
The Executive Committee shall consist of eleven members elected by the Council at its first meeting and chosen from among the members of the Council.
The Executive Committee shall have power to co-opt members in case of resignations during the year.
The Committee shall elect its own Chairman and Vice-Chairman, and four members shall form a quorum.
The Executive Committee shall appoint and dismiss the Secretary and other paid officers, and may appoint subcommittees.
Special meetings of the Council may be called by the Executive Committee.
The Chairman of the Council shall (ex-officio) be a member of the Executive Committee.
8._Nominations of Officers and of Executive Committee:
Written nominations for officers and members of the Executive Committee, together with the names of proposers and seconders, shall be sent to the Secretary 21 days before the Annual Council Meeting at which the elections are to take place.
9._Alteration of Rules :
No alteration to be made in the Rules, except by a two-thirds majority at a meeting of the Council, 21 days’ notice of which alteration must he given to the Secretary, and 21 days’ notice by the Secretary to the members of the Council.
10._Accounts :
The accounts for the year shall be presented, duly audited, at the first Council Meeting held after the Annual General Meeting of subscribers, together with a draft of the Annual Report.
A copy of the Annual Report and the Annual Financial Statement shall, after their adoption by the Council, be sent to each subscriber.
ANNUAL MEETING.
The Annual Meeting of the subscribers and supporters of the Caldecott Community was held at 25, Cartwright Gardens on October 29th. Professor Nunn took the chair, and the speakers were Mrs. Florence Willey, M.D., Mrs. John Stocks, Mr. John Masefield, and the Directors. To all these our best thanks are due. The Council was elected for the ensuing year, and the Constitution of the Community was presented to the meeting and formally adopted.
